Eric Schinazi has been a Certified Hyperbaric Technologist for over 20 years.  He began working in clinical hyperbaric facilities in 1989 in Houston Tx.  Prior to that, he worked as a commercial diver in the Gulf of Mexico.  Currently he works at Duke University Medical Center’s Hyperbaric/Hypobaric Medicine and Environmental Physiology Laboratory, the largest facility of its kind in the United States.  He is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of the chamber system and all the ancillary equipment.  He is a certified welder, and also designs and fabricates equipment for projects involving hyperbaric and hypobaric research.

Eric also assists with the Divers Alert Network recompression chamber assistance program, providing inspections and risk assessments to remote chamber facilities.
