Francois Burman is a registered Professional Engineer from Cape Town, South Africa. His background includes serving as an officer in the South African navy and working as an engineer and senior manager with the Atomic Energy Corporation of South Africa. In 1994, he entered the field of hyperbaric medicine. He is an international consultant on energy engineering and a safety consultant in diving and hyperbaric medicine. He also conducts safety surveys of hyperbaric facilities and lectures on hyperbaric safety courses. Francois holds a BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering and a MSc degree in Medical Sciences (Baromedicine).
